Practical experience

Over 10 years of hands-on IT support

From IT outsourcing to in-house IT at a dental organisation with several locations in the Netherlands.

  • Windows Server
  • RDP
  • Google Workspace
  • MikroTik
  • Ubiquiti
  • Wi-Fi
  • VPN
Network equipment, cabling and servers in a rack
  • Investigating incidents

Causes and consequences of RDP breaches and ransomware following a malicious email.

  • Protecting backups

Protection against encryption and overwriting, with separate access and attention to recovery.

  • Separating networks

Separate systems and networks, with only the necessary access between them.

  • Migrating servers

From mail and other servers on old office PCs to a secured VPS.

During seven years of IT support at a dental organisation with several locations, no security incidents occurred.

“When Daniel walks in, everything starts working again. As if by magic.”

Colleagues in dental care I have worked with.

I helped colleagues with practice software, settings, and printer and computer issues. I knew their working environment and the problems that kept coming back.

Startup costs, term and additional work

The initial inventory, network topology, overdue updates, optimisation and setup are quoted separately. Pay startup costs upfront or spread them by agreement. The quote specifies the term, total cost and early termination conditions before you commit.

Additional work is agreed first: €45/hour remotely and €55/hour on site. Extra contract visits have no two-hour minimum. Standard travel terms still apply. A paid 4- or 2-working-hour SLA is available only where capacity and agreed coverage allow. Pricing and priority are set out in the quote first. The SLA clock pauses outside working hours.

Coverage & response time

During the intake, we discuss your IT environment, the support you need and my availability. Your quote sets out the plan, schedule and response times. An introductory visit can be arranged by appointment.

  • Routine maintenance, updates and usual remote support for the agreed environment, during agreed working hours.
  • Once the management engagement is accepted, the agreed base SLA provides an initial substantive response within 8 working hours, Mon–Fri 09:00–18:00 Netherlands time, through agreed channels. This is not a guaranteed resolution or arrival time.
  • Two urgent visits per quarter, with up to 2 hours of on-site work per visit.
  • One scheduled check-up visit per quarter, with up to 2 hours of on-site work.
  • Documentation updated after changes. The visit allowance covers the whole company, rather than each location separately.
Equipment and installation are separate

Hardware, software licences and cloud and backup storage are outside the subscription price. If outdated or unsupported equipment needs replacing for responsible management, we discuss the cost and get approval first.
